The Community Day Group and the Monuments Committee are planning a big weekend in August for everyone. It starts at 3 PM on Saturday August 15th when the new Revolutionary War memorial is dedicated in honor of the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. A community supper will be held at Citizens’ Hall after the event. Then on Sunday August 16th, there will be a morning hike hosted by the Conservation Commission, followed by Community Day itself, which starts at 1 PM. After that, we will host the Steak Dinner and Open Mic at 6 PM. See below for more details.

Community Day this year includes an Open Mic night under the tent (or under the stars if you prefer) during the steak dinner, which starts at 6 PM. If you are interested in performing, please contact Kate McClure to sign up for a spot.

Don’t forget about our car show, which was new last year. If you have a classic or unique vehicle you would like to show off, then this is a great day to do that. To reserve a space, please contact Karen Grybko by email or Lou Rota by email or call/text Lou at 978-289-3828.
The Community Day group is planning a photo similar to this one from the 1928 Old Home Days. Do you live in Lyndeborough? Have you or a family member ever lived here? Did your ancestors come from here and you have always wanted to check out the town? Please join us (and invite others you may know) at Community Day on Sunday August 16th for a group photo shoot. Our photographer is working out when the best time of day is for a photo in front of Center Hall, so stay tuned for that information. A big weekend is being planned with the Monuments Committee for the 250th anniversary of the United States, and the group photo is just one of many events that weekend.

Our steak dinner tickets still cost only $25! Advance tickets will be available at Citizens’ Hall, cash or check only please. If you would like to reserve tickets and can’t make it in, please email Jen Weston and ask about a Venmo option. Thank you!
